Honey Baked Ham
Everyone needs a great ham recipe for hosting! It’s the perfect dish for your Easter menu, but also an easy and affordable option for anytime your are hosting a large gathering! Loved by all ages too!
1 smoked spiral ham (bone-in — I love one from Costco)
6 oz pineapple juice
For the glaze:
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Preheat the oven to 325°F.
To make the glaze, whisk the warm melted butter into the honey until fully incorporated. Add the remaining glaze ingredients and whisk together.
Place the ham on a rack in a roasting pan. Brush half of the glaze over the ham, gently separating the slices so it gets into every layer. Pour the pineapple juice into the bottom of the pan and cover loosely with foil.
Bake for about an hour, basting occasionally with the pan drippings. Remove the foil, brush with the remaining glaze, and continue baking for another 45 minutes, basting every 15 minutes, until the ham is golden and caramelized.
Slice the ham away from the bone and serve with the pan juices on the side.
For timing, plan on 10–12 minutes per pound at 325°F. Since the ham is fully cooked, you’re just heating it through—aim for an internal temperature of 145°F.
