Decadent Scrambled Eggs
Years ago, I was at a dinner party where the hosts had hired a private chef just for fun.
One of the courses was a little bowl of the most decadent scrambled eggs I had ever tasted. I mean… we were all completely obsessed over this simple dish.
So of course, we had to ask….
How much cream did you add? What kind of cheese is in here?
Nada.
No cream. No cheese.
So how were they so rich?
One extra egg yolk.
Mind. Blown.
Ever since, I’ll occasionally add an extra yolk to my scrambled eggs… and sometimes swirl in a little pat of butter at the end, just to be extra.
Just eggs and butter 🍳🧈

Two whole eggs
One egg yolk

Whisk.
Swirl non-stick pan with a pat of butter (we use @vitalfarms). Pour eggs in. Low and slow is the key! I don’t stir my eggs. I just kind of push them around the pan. Then I turn the heat completely off when they are almost done. Swirl in a little pat of butter if you like 🧈!
