Warm Bread with Lemon Caper Butter + Herbs

Honestly, what is better than bread and butter?? Really good warm salted butter with capers, herbs, lemon zest-sprinkled with edible flowers! We love this idea from Joshua McFadden (Six Seasons). His directions are vague and simple. Spread really good salted butter on a board and top with anything you like! Hands down our favorite “dish” on our Summer Solstice menu. And takes all of 5 minutes to prepare.

Our variation:
Really really good salted butter at room temperature
Capers
Minced chives
Minced basil
Freshly cracked pepper
Zest of one lemon
Baguette or country loaf
