Thanksgiving Spritz

This is it! The spritz you MUST serve on Thanksgiving! It’s citrusy with a hint of spice and absolutely delicious. We’ve turned once again to our go-to sparkling wine, @poemacava, for its affordability and quality, to elevate this delicious cocktail. We’ll have a few bottles on hand to serve with dinner as well!

We made a Pumpkin Spice Syrup to give this spritz a little oomph! Your guests will think you’ve hired a bartender, but the syrup takes just minutes to make. Bonus…you can drizzle in your coffee as well ;)

Thanksgiving Spritz
1 bottle Poema Cava
8 ounces Aperol
8 ounces fresh-squeezed orange juice
3-4 tablespoons Pumpkin Spice Syrup (recipe below)

Pumpkin Spice Syrup
1 cup water
1/4 cup pumpkin puree
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp pumpkin spice
1 tsp vanilla extract

Pour everything but vanilla into small saucepan. Bring to a simmer, whisking occasionally until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and let sit for 15-20 minutes before straining through a fine mesh strainer (I strained 2 times). Store in an airtight glass container in the fridge for up to two weeks.
